Welcome to my homepage, which is mostly dedicated to the universe of manga & anime. You will find drawings I made in manga style. They are mostly about , my favorite anime/manga series.

How to draw manga, drawing in manga style? How to become a mangaka?

You wanna do like me and become an amateur mangaka?
Then go to your local stationary's and get these:

A propelling pencil of 0.5 mm
Black & Blue leads (for the propelling pencil)
A good 2HB pencil (such as Staedler ^TM)
A good rubber (such as Staedler too)
Good rulers

When you finish your drawings, you must ink them. To do this go get a Rotring rapidograph or other model, such as architects use. Then you must buy the replacement nibs. The essentials are 0.2mm (for detailed lines), 0.5mm (for normal lines) and 0.7mm (for onomatopeias, thick lines). And, of course you must get ink. Staedler marsmatic M2 pro-film ink does the job very well.

After you get all this stuff, you must develop some drawing techiques,or learn them from others.
I recommend you to buy a book, which I currently own. This is the homemade review I made myself.

Its title in Japanese "Hettapi-Manga Kenkyujo" and its authors are Akira Toriyama (Creator of Dragonball) and Akira Sakuma. First published in 1984.

I know that this book is avaiable in Spanish at Spain and in some Latin American countries such as Mexico And Argentina. It's title in this language is "Taller de Manga", published by Editorial Planeta de Agostini, Spain.

This is the only drawing I have scanned and published yet at my page. I have CG edited it but didnt colour it because I like it this way. It is not the full drawing because I dont have a full page scanner but as soon as I get one I'll start scanning the rest of them. E-mail me your comments to [email protected] now!

If you are interested in manga, which is part of Japanese culture in order to understand it you must learn how to read and write Japanese. In order to do this go to www.njstar.com , and donwload the Japanese Word processor and the NJWIN CJK, so as you can understand Japanese writings in your PC without installing Win 95 or 98 japanese version on your pc. ^_^
And be careful in Internet and in IRC, cause the standart form of Japanese character coding/encoding form is Shift-JIS. Later, on this page, I will include sites where you can easily learn Japanese.
